North Texas Master Naturalist
A statewide, all volunteer organization, sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Texas AgriLife Extension, called Texas Master Naturalist. Members are trained in basic ecological concepts and local ecosystms in regard to natural resource management. Monthly meetings are open to the public. The North Texas Chapter conducts various workshops for the public as well as provides speakers and demonstrations on various topics. Topics may range from Birding 101, Invasive Plants, Mammals of the Blackland Prairie, Benefits of Wildscapes, Prairie Restoration and more.
