The Outdoor School
We are an outdoor/environmental education facility serving public and private schools in the state of Texas. We have activities in all four major academic areas (Social Studies, Natural Sciences, Language Arts & Math) and also an Adventure program. We're located on lake LBJ in the Texas Hill Country.

Environmental Institute of Houston/Univ of Houston-Clear Lake
Created to address issues of environmental concern, EIH has become a leader in building partnerships in research, education, and outreach. EIH conducts research and encourages discussion regarding natural resource conservation, pollution prevention, environmental education, and environmental regulation. EE staff provides professional development opportunities for educators emphasizing environmental/science education. EIH education efforts include workshops, credit courses, public presentations, and technical assistance.
North Texas Master Naturalist
A statewide, all volunteer organization, sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Texas AgriLife Extension, called Texas Master Naturalist. Members are trained in basic ecological concepts and local ecosystms in regard to natural resource management. Monthly meetings are open to the public. The North Texas Chapter conducts various workshops for the public as well as provides speakers and demonstrations on various topics. Topics may range from Birding 101, Invasive Plants, Mammals of the Blackland Prairie, Benefits of Wildscapes, Prairie Restoration and more.
Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program
We are a not for profit with an education program for both students and teachers. We cover a 12 county area and have a Nueces Delta Preserve for fieltrip excursions.
Valley Nature Center
The Valley Nature Center (VNC) is a "secret garden in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley." It is a non-profit environmental education organization. Sitting on land leased from the City of Weslaco, the nature park is hidden from view, surrounded by businesses and residential neighborhoods. The building contains its administrative offices, as well as a gift shop, meeting and class room, exhibit hall with interactive displays of native species, and a nature reference library. The park consists of six acres of recreated Mid-delta Thorn Forest, a biotic community of the Tamaulipan Mezquital Ecoregion. Features of the park include ponds, walking trails, wildlife feeding stations,butterfly habitat and cactus gardens. The Center conducts a variety of educational programs, including field trips, lectures, special events, and nature camps.

Texas Wildlife Association
The Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) is a statewide non-profit organization established in 1985 to represent private land stewards, land managers, conservationists, hunters and anglers from across the state of Texas. Its members care for and control almost 40 million acres of rangeland and wildlife habitat that are key components of Texas’ upstream watersheds. Because nearly 95 percent of land in Texas is privately owned, the involvement of private land stewards is critical in establishing Texas’ long-term conservation policies.

Elliosn Miles Geotechnology Institute (EMGI)
I am the Director of the EMGI, which is part of the Math-Science Department of Brookhaven College in Dallas. The EMGI was founded with a gift from the Miles Foundation. The EMGI provides continuing education for K-12 teachers in geology in the form of workshops and field trips where teachers interact directly with working scientists trained in the Texas standards. I myself an a TAEE Life member. EMGI is a content source recognized by the Texas Regional Collaborative for Excellence in Science and Math Teaching.
Grand Prairie Natural Science Education Center
K-12 Public Education site for hands on science and environmental education for the students of Grand Prairie ISD. We also offer community programs on master composting and xeriscaping during the year on various weekends and in the summer

Lower Colorado River Authority Matagorda Bay Nature Park
Matagorda Bay Nature Park is a 1,600-acre park and preserve at the mouth of the Colorado River on the Matagorda Peninsula. LCRA developed the park to provide recreation, education, wetlands preservation and economic benefit to the region. The park has about two miles of Gulf of Mexico and two miles river frontage and hundreds of acres of coastal marshes and dunes. It is one of the best birding areas in the nation. We Provide age/grade level appropriate TEKS aligned educational programs on subjects including wetlands ecology, estuary ecology, dune and beach analysis, salt marsh ecology, vertebrate and micro/ macro invertebrate studies, and GPS activities.
Texas State Aquarium
Located on the shores of Corpus Christi Bay, the Texas State Aquarium displays animals and habitats that showcase the wonders of the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to engaging exhibits, the Aquarium offers a wide variety of educational programs and opportunities.

Developed in collaboration with The University of Kentucky Physics Group, the module activities relate to everyday experiences that involve events or objects in the home, school or workplace, making science more relevant to students
