Join us…
The Outdoor Education Center at Camp Olympia has been hosting the Seeds Conference with TAEE since 1995. The facility is located on over 100 acres of the beautiful Piney Woods of East Texas on the shores of Lake Livingston, approximately twenty miles Northeast of Huntsville, Texas. We hope you will join us for a weekend of environmentally based workshops and inspiring presentations!
Presenters…Keynote
We are excited to host Cheryl Charles as our keynote presenter this year. She has made numerous contributions to the world of environmental education, including serving as the National Director of Project Learning Tree and Project Wild for close to 20 years. In 2006, she helped to launch a new campaign, “Leave No Child Inside,” inspired by Richard Louv’s book, Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder. The campaign is an initiative of a new non-profit, co-founded with Richard Louv and others, the Children and Nature Network. Numerous workshops offered by expert presenters include topics such as local wildlife, natural history, orienteering, and habits of mind. Various recreational opportunities may include birding, canoeing, astronomy, and night hiking.
